What’s Community Energy?

Community energy redefines UK power generation. Investment in 100% renewables improves energy supply and stability, creating cost-effective and sustainable power for homes. 

Community energy happens when a group of like-minded, local people get together, organise and invest in renewable energy sources to power their community. This could be installing solar panels, hydro or wind turbines. We then purchase this energy through a Power Purchase Agreement, so that we always give a fair price. This energy feeds into our Community Power Tariff, so our customers can live with the knowledge that they are supporting renewable energy generation at a community level. It’s a win-win!
